The beautiful Aspen trees, so familiar to our locale, have interesting characteristics that lend themselves well to comparison with a new dimension being implemented here at Emmanuel, called ASPEN Clusters.

Aspen trees appear to be individuals.  Yet, in reality, they are one organism sharing the same far-reaching root system.  ASPEN Clusters at Emmanuel will have one root stock:  Jesus Christ.  From this root stock many Clusters will grow.

ASPEN Clusters are gatherings of six to twelve people who meet in homes - to be, and to build the Body of Christ.  ASPEN stands for:

A -- accepting, accessibility (to one another), accountability

S -- sharing, supporting, studying, serving

    P -- praying, praising

    E -- encouraging, evangelizing

    N -- nurturing

Trained leaders help Cluster members find a place of belonging, understand and apply God's Word, and use their gifts in service and evangelism.  In this way the Clusters will carry out the Greatest Commandments, and the Great Commission.
